Invite a friend

1. Start an interview in the Mac app with Friend Assist enabled. Open Friend assist from the toolbar and choose Create invitation.
2. Copy the link and send it to your friend. It works once and expires after five minutes. Your friend opens it in a browser, enters a name, and chooses Ask to join. No app or account is needed.
3. Check the name in your app and choose Approve guest.

Share video and audio

1. Choose Entire screen or Single window, then select Preview. The preview is only visible to you. Choose again to pick a different source.
2. Check the preview and choose Start sharing. Your friend can watch live, and their browser plays your system audio and microphone automatically.
3. Before sharing an entire screen, check the preview for windows or notifications you want to keep private.

Read suggestions and end assistance

1. Your friend types in Send a suggestion and chooses Send to your friend. Pasted code keeps line breaks and indentation.
2. Suggestions appear in Friend messages in your app. Choose End assistance to stop sharing video and audio.

Connection and permissions

• If no screens or windows appear, check macOS screen recording permission. Sharing audio also requires microphone permission.
• If the browser pauses playback, your friend can choose Resume audio. Create a new invitation if the link has expired or already been used.
