Pre-interview checks
Stealth mode & how it works
Keep InterviewLOL off the shared screen while you read transcripts and AI answers on your own display.
Screen-sharing privacy
Capture protection is on when InterviewLOL opens. It is designed to exclude the floating window and its settings panels from the shared image while keeping them visible on your own screen.
Share a coding question or web page while reading the transcript, asking AI, and viewing answers in the floating window. You do not need to keep hiding the app.
Why can your screen and the shared view differ?
InterviewLOL applies capture protection at the operating system’s window layer. Window-level exclusion separates local display from screen capture, keeping the floating window visible to you while restricting its inclusion in the captured image.
Protection is reapplied when the window is shown or resized, keeping it aligned with changes to the window. You can keep reading transcripts and AI answers without repeatedly switching or hiding the app to share your screen.
How the other controls differ
- Capture protection controls whether InterviewLOL appears in the captured image.
- Opacity lets you see the question or page behind the window. Lowering opacity alone does not hide it from screen sharing.
- Click-through lets your mouse reach the page underneath, so you can type in an online code editor.
- Show/hide controls whether you can see the app; it does not end the interview. Shortcut protection separately controls which shortcuts reach other apps.
